Remote Control Construction Equipment Projects Bring Pure Joy To All Kids And Grandkids

Want to see huge smiles on the faces of the kids or grandkids? Dream up an RC construction project, and turn them loose with the remote control construction equipment.

I guarantee you’re gonna make them happy.

The first step in your quest to please those kids is to put your project on paper so you have a blueprint to follow when you build. Make sure you get the kids to help you with this. Some of the design ideas they’ll dream up might blow you away with the awesome level of creativity that young people have.

After you draw out the design it’s time to plan the actual construction activities.

As an example we’ll discuss the construction of a city, and design it big enough to use it later for playtime fun with a variety of radio control models.

That means the roads must be wide enough to drive your one-tenth scale semi-trucks two abreast around the city. And you’ll build the parking garage entrances, ramps, and parking spaces so your vans and pickup trucks can use them.

You’ll also want a fire station or two where you can park the fire engines as they wait for emergency calls.

Don’t leave the kids out of this planning process. It’s part of their fun because they’re spending time with you. And you’re letting them know that you value their input.

Now it’s time to clear the land for your construction project.

The first remote control construction equipment you’ll put to work are the front loaders. Their initial job is clearing away the sod so you have bare earth to work with. Roll lengths of sod so the loaders can pick them up with their buckets. Give the kids the loader control so they can grab the sod rolls, and stack them on pallets.

As each pallet fills with rolls of sod have the children move them to the semi flatbed trucks with forklifts. When the pallets fill up the flatbed space get your little trucker to haul the sod to a holding area. Use forklifts to unload the flatbeds, and place the sod in temporary storage.

Next get your construction crew busy with the excavators. They’ll dig the foundations for your buildings. Pile the dirt to the side, or fill the dump truck beds so they can carry it away from the construction site.

Once the foundations are ready start erecting the buildings using cranes to deliver the materials to the assembly workers.

When your buildings are complete put the front loader operators back to work, and have them level the roadbeds in preparation for the road surface materials.

When the time comes to pour cement for foundations and roads have your cement truck drivers make the deliveries.

When you’re finished with this construction project you’ll have an RC event center for playing with all your wheeled models. Especially if you include an airport in your design.

But the important thing is that you got your kids and grandkids to help you with this remote control construction equipment project.

After all what do they value more, and what makes their smiles bigger and brighter, than when you spend your time with them?
