Look at any remote control construction site. You’ll find a variety of RC construction toys moving around doing their building related jobs. Or they’re waiting patiently for their turn to perform the work their designers created them for.
Your complete fleet of construction equipment includes:
Excavators
Front loaders
Bulldozers
Dump trucks
Cranes
Forklifts
Semi trucks
Cement trucks
Each piece of heavy equipment does a different job on your construction site.
First you get that idea for an activity center. Next you design your center, and draw out a blueprint to show a paper picture of how the finished project looks. Then it’s time to select an area to build you center. Your final preparation step before the work begins is to measure, and lay out, the work area.
After placing the site boundaries you put your fleet of RC construction toys to work.
If you’re building your creation in the yard the first job is removal of sod.
The best tool for sod removal is the excavator. Perform this operation carefully. You don’t want to damage the sod as you dig it up. You’ll use it for landscaping later if you’re erecting a town, city, or other layout that needs grassy areas.
Landscaping activities include yards, lawn areas around commercial buildings, and pastures along highways.
As you loosen the sod scoop it up with the front loaders, and load it onto the semi truck flatbeds, or dump trucks, for removal.
To ready your construction area for building foundations and road surfacing materials, level it with your bulldozer. If you’re building an airport the bulldozer is ideal for shaping the runway. With the dozer you can scrape the ground so it’s nice and smooth for your building efforts.
Front loaders carry the excess dirt to the dump trucks so they can haul it away.
When your site is ready for the foundations pour them with cement trucks. You’ll also use the cement trucks to pour concrete for the roads.
You deliver all of the building materials to the site with semi truck flatbeds. Offload them with forklifts. And move those materials into assembly position with cranes.
When you finish your project you’ll have an activity center that gives you years of remote control entertainment. But you add to your pleasure when you put your hobby to work with those first project thoughts. All that fun starts when you get the idea, and draw it out as a blueprint.
And then put your fleet of RC construction toys to work building your design.
