I purchased one of these from another vender back in some time ago. I was surprised by the level of detail; it is more like a scale model than a toy in appearance. Some of the finer details break off easily but this does not affect the function of the boat. It looks very much like the German WW II Battleship Bismarck in ~1/350 scale. After having it for a while I disassembled it and painted more to scale, it looks good as is but with a nice scale model like paint job it is even better. For a more scale appearance, I also removed the incorrect missile launchers from amidships and put a crude float plane catapult and plane from my parts box and modified some of the masts.
The boat runs real well forward, reverse, left and right. There is no “throttle” just go or no go. There is no steering trim adjustment so it may not run in a real straight line. This model is a bit narrower that some of the other “HT” RC models available and so it can be a bit more tippy.

First of all, this arrived so fast that I didn’t even think about checking the shipment staturs. The second and best part is how this RC boat operates. It is fantastic. My boyfriend’s 10 year old used in on a large pond and it was even fun to watch. It goes pretty fast for an RC item. It actually left a small wake behind it. I enjoyed watching it and now my dad who is almost 70 wants one. He’ll be getting one for his birthday in May.
I did read the reviews and we made sure that the boat was completely dried out after each use. We are hoping that helps keep it in good running order. It’s a lot more fun and more maneuverable than I had imagined. Absolutely no regrets on this purchase. It was a hit above all the other Christmas gifts.

I was a little nervous to buy this toy online, but went ahead and bought it for my little brother for Christmas. He absolutely loved it! In fact all the guys in my family did. He loves that it looks similar to the real Bismark and the speed at which it glides across the water. It was also a very educational toy because once he got it he was curious to learn about the real Bismark, and we looked up a National Geographic show about it. The toy says for age 14 and above and my little brother is 11, yet he adores it. He did need a little help to get it up and running though.
