RC construction toys are great for a fun snow removal project. But here’s a way to magnify your fun, and build yourself a radio control monster truck, and off-road buggy, rally course at the same time.
When you’re finished with this project your pleasure continues as you schedule events for your 4-wheelers.
Clear the snow from your sidewalk and driveway with your dump trucks. Just rig a snowplow blade on the front of your truck to plow the snow into piles. When you finish that effort continue clearing snow for a space big enough to create your planned event center.
Designate an area for that extra snow. Pile it there for the raw materials you need for the remote control monster truck and buggy rally obstacle courses.
Use the excavators and front loaders to load the snow from your drive and walkway into the dump truck beds. Transport the snow to your raw material holding area.
Now start using that snow from those piles you made to create your truck rally layout.
Draw out the final center on paper first so you know how the finished project looks before you begin your building phase.
Use the dump trucks to haul the snow into place, and then start up the excavators and loaders to shape your obstacles.
First build ramps for jumping. Your blueprint tells you how long, how high, and how far apart you need for your ramps. You want enough distance between them to line up the cars, buses, RVs, or trucks you’ll jump with the monster trucks and off-road buggies.
Die cast models are perfect for the vehicles you place between the ramps.
Next build mounds of snow for jumping hills, and hill-climbing events.
Pile the snow into hills high enough to give the crowd some excitement when the see your trucks and buggies launch into the air. Build other hills with steep sides for the hill-climbing competitions. Use the excavators and loaders to shape the hills to make these jumping and climbing activities challenging for the different 4-wheel drive models.
Another obstacle for your center is a loose snow pit. Make it deep enough that your trucks and buggies won’t drive through it easily. Set it up just like a mud-bog competition.
When you finish your remote control rally center figure out different events to hold in it.
Schedule competitions for the different radio control 4-wheel vehicles. Invite all your radio control friends to the event. Make it a day filled with pleasure.
